In 2002, World Series Champion Scott Spiezio gets the fame: a street named after him, a pep-rally at his high school in Illinois, lots of money, and guest appearances on The Tonight Show, David Letterman and more. It all came from his home run hit in Game 6 of the World Series, giving the Anaheim Angels franchise their first - and only - ring.
However, Scott rose to the top just as fast as he crashed to the depths. He experienced alcohol and cocaine addictions. His net worth went down to almost nothing. Eleven rehabs, two divorces, and multiple arrests. Some of his kids and his parents kept their distance for years. In 2006, he won the World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals, and no one cared to celebrate.
